Hiyoko is shown to have things that she enjoys like udon and track running, but there is still a wide gap for the player to set up their own characteristics for her, while she also changes a bit in each route. One of her own oddities is that she has “hunter-gatherer” instincts, it might be a little silly but it does a good job in reminding the player that Hiyoko is different, while being a nod back to her now nearly-extinct race. It does make the route a bit strange, but at the same time it is funny and makes the story more memorable. At the same time, she has a lot of eccentricities that play off well with other characters, like with Okosan and Anghel. Though, she is one of the few humans still around and due all that has happened to her, Hiyoko has a surprising sort of never ending optimism that seems a bit strange, but is really contagious to both the player and to some of the characters, such as in Sakuya and Nanaki. The player begins the game playing as Hiyoko Tosaka, though her name is changeable, who is a second-year student and the only human currently attending St. In this write-up, I will discuss the main character, the bachelors and their routes, and the mysteries that are revealed when playing through Hurtful Boyfriend. Thus, I decided to write my thoughts on the game, as some sort of relief for my feelings towards the second half of the game.
